It all started back in 1999!

With my first Yellow Labrador "Deefenbaker" (Deef)

​Like a lot of us out there, I started with a local pup at 7 weeks old. I Had no idea what I was in for. I figured he was an AKC registered dog so he would be a healthy, sound pup. I couldn't have been more wrong! I'm not one to jump right into things but back before I had the internet to help, not much info. was available on picking a sound dog.

"Deef" ended up having allergies and hip problems when he got older. We had to put him down early but I trained him to be a great retriever but along the way learned what not to do when I got my next dog. (trial and error right)

​Our next dog "Drake" was picked for his sound background, temperment and looks. He was a bit goofy and slow but a great retriever from an English background that loved to retrieve if you had an extra 5 minutes for him to do so!!

Our current retriever "Nelli" is all about field work! She retrieves on land and water and was also picked for her solid background with a family full of sound retrievers and field trial dogs. She is the first of three that I have chose to ever breed due to her talents as a great retriever, great family dog and having no health issues. I felt she was qualified to breed as well. So here we are!! :-)
